La La La La La La La

I'm being lazy and I can't get motivated about anything, but running.

The news is a boring, canned, bland bunch of propaganda.

Politics is turned into a public relations campaign for high-ranking government officials.

American culture is unstimulating, ugly mix of gread and conceit.

The landscape of shopping and restaurants is like a bad nightmare. The entertainment industry doesn't entertain. The food industry tries to make everything taste good to everyone, but it makes everything just taste the same, no flavor. These things won’t be fixed, it just keeps getting more and more dull and insipid.

We keep demanding more and more, we take more and more, we destroy the planet and are insulted when asked to be less intrusive. We keep taking without giving back or helping. We are so self-centered we can’t see past the end of our huge rotund pot bellies and over-bloated self-image. Even the religious-based groups are too proud of their own image to accept or participate in being the tolerant and nonjudgmental groups on which their image is based.

And I am a positive thinking optimist.

Thank Darwin, at least I got beer!

“Who says nothing is impossible? Some people do it every day!”

  1. I think it's all about balance, sharing and keeping it natural and real.

Not a whole lot of authetic people out there who walk the talk.

Although, I'm quite lucky to have found the balance that I need to be happy and content with my life!

It's unfortunate for those who are still looking and blaming everybody else for what is wrong in the world! wink

Such a waste of precious time that we don't have a whole lot of...

    Life is good!

    LOVE YOU!

  2. Hey Dad,
I know your going to hate me for saying this BUT:

Focus on what is right in your world, instead of what is wrong.

    Love ya!

  4. I hear you. I haven't been able to get excited about writing about any current events this week myself. It is all rather discouraging stuff.

  5. I was thinking more along the line of a Cockeyed Optimist.

When the skies are brighter canary yellow
    I forget ev'ry cloud I've ever seen,
So they called me a cockeyed optimist
    Immature and incurably green.

I have heard people rant and rave and bellow
That we're done and we might as well be dead,
But I'm only a cockeyed optimist
And I can't get it into my head.

    I hear the human race
    Is fallin' on its face
And hasn't very far to go,
    But ev'ry whippoorwill
    Is sellin' me a bill,
And tellin' me it just ain't so.

I could say life is just a bowl of Jello
And appear more intelligent and smart,
But I'm stuck like a dope
    With a thing called hope,
And I can't get it out of my heart!
    Not this heart...
