I preferred Syd Barret's Pink Floyd. More gutteral and punky.
casdok - I never tire listening to any Pink Floyd. "The Wall" is a warning, that the human psych is fragile against the brutish culture we've created.

Did you ever listen to Roger Waters' solo album "The Final Cut" - lots of enjoyably bitter, disillusioned songs about modern life and postwar England.
Oops, I was wrong, The Final Cut was by Pink Floyd, although it seems more Roger Waters-ish.
