From Big Dog Blog - 101 Pictures of Gentle Giants

If Dog was your teacher you would learn stuff like:

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.

When it's in your best interest, practice obedience.

Let others know when they've invaded your territory.

Take naps. Stretch before rising.

Run, romp, and play daily.

Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.

On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.

On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.

When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout... run right back and make friends.

Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.

Be loyal.

Never pretend to be something you're not.

If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.

When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

AND last but still important..........

Never trust anyone until you sniff their . . .well you know.

That dog was enjoying the sun, it was cool day in San Francisco.

I don't like to see dogs tied up or left alone in backyards either, makes me so mad when I see people get a dog and then leave it alone in the backyard all day. Dogs are social animals, leaving them alone is misery for them. If you can't spend time with them, don't bother. blah, blah, blah, I'll stop ranting now.

It's good you have two so they can keep each company when your away.

That's odd, I was sure I left a comment here earlier about what a great post this was. No, Nancy, he is more than willing for you to use that. Nick is a great person. Besides, if I wanted it, I would just take it anyway, God is like that. :-)

bsb, Anything posted here can be swiped, take what you like, its not mine originally. I scraped that picture from Amazon.com from the page for that book.

I understand the term "buy peace", makes sense.

There is a "life is Good" website,
http://www.lifeisgood.com/
with drawings on clothes that I love, I think you will recognize "Jake", and he has a yellow dog, :-) He looks sad on my blog. Sad Jake is an Easter Egg. ;>)

BBC, I have had many of my comments dissappear in the last few days, i think it is a problem with blogger. It couldn't be me.

I'm having trouble with Blogger this morning, can't make a post. The folks with beta seem to be doing a touch better. How are you getting along with beta now Nick? Maybe it is time for me to switch?

bbc. I've not had any problems with beta recently, except that sometimes my comments don't get posted, but I hear that others are having the same problem. I have not converted my blog yet, as you will lose all customizations, and I'm not ready to deal with that. I have only switch to the new beta blogger account.

I have heard that some people have lost their blogs entires.

bsb - the new beta blogger has some new features like labels, and private blogs (only certain people can see)..

Word verification keeps out spam programs from commenting on your blog. The spammers will leave a comment like "Great blog, visit mine" and theirs is just an advertisement. people have automated programs that can go out and comment on thousands of blog in just a few seconds.
