Ideal

Tao Te Ching - Written by Lao-Tzu

The Ideal Society:
80
A small country of few people.
Machines are not needed.
People take life and death meaningfully.
No one travels far.
They do not use their boats or carriages.
They do not display armor or weapons.
They knot rope rather than write.
Their food is plain and wholesome.
Their clothes are fit but simple.
Their homes are secure.
The people are happy in their ways.
Though they live in sight of their neighbors
and hear crowing cocks and barking dogs,
Yet they live in peace with each other
as they grow old and die.

I pretty much live like that, you wouldn't believe how simple my place is. And I'm okay with it. Explains why I don't have a woman though, they are so needy. (Insert your own disclaimer ladies, hugs)

But barking dogs when I'm trying to sleep? Bah on that.

43.4 degrees and a drizzle right now. What ever, I just take the day as it comes at me. Hugs.

My neighbors are the herd of deer that live on the back side of my property.
Nice to meet you.

nice thoughts...

and one thing i've concentrated on doing since my daughter moved out was to simplify..no microwave, toaster

i've removed all non-esstential (given or donated away) things from my life and house...

and i have learn to let people go in peace...no more fighting..

I live a simple life..but I still do enjoy modern day commodities..

I also like to travel.. I won't be around for long so might as well see as much as possible... I enjoy other cultures and discovering how these people live their lives..

It's a society of apes... or elephants... except for the clothes. Actually apes fight each other too. I don't know if people will ever evolve to where they don't think they need to use weapons against each other. The cruel side of nature. Maybe the Amish have risen to that level through discipline. Not many of us could live that way. Even the Amish have machines, just not ones with engines.
