Inner Peace

Is having inner peace a good thing? When events happen in the world, and I strongly agree, or disagree with them, the inner voices start shouting at me.

The reason I started this blog was to have an outlet for these voices to be heard, and I wanted a record of the conversations I have with these thoughts. For years I was living with the frustrations of these inner voices that have different opinions from the popular ones of most those around me were voicing out loud.

I knew my thought process was different from others, I had trouble finding people who had the same voices in their head. Okay, you might not call them voices, but that's what I call them. They are not imaginary friends, those creatures only appear when I'm alone.

I noticed something when I started writing about these voices and let others know my "deviant" thoughts. The voices would go away for awhile. The blog was working at giving me some "inner peace", even if the vast majority would never know or read these ramblings.

This country and world is still messed up, but my mind is more clearer. There is nothing I can do to change the way others think, I can only serve as an example or warning to others.

They love to tell you
Stay inside the lines
But something's better
On the other side

I wanna run through the halls of my high school
I wanna scream at the
Top of my lungs
I just found out there's no such thing as the real world
Just a lie you got to rise above

Good morning,

It's good to see Jake and his huge smile. ;-) I'll miss not seeing him in Maine this summer....

I think when my personal life is off track, what the rest of the world is doing doesn't really concern me.

Yeah..it's all about me. ;-)

If I can get my health and my mobility working, back to normal and my "regular life" back then I'll start worrying about what the rest of the world is up to.

There is this old guy who keeps talking about the rest of the world being fucked up, I think his life must be pretty good if he's so worried about everybody else. He should appreciate it because when your health is screwed, well you don't seem to be bothered so much about other people!

Charity begins at home as my grandma used to say!

Have a great day!

LOVE YOU!

I don't know what it's doing for you, but it helps me to read what's on your mind. We need this open and frank exchange to stay sane in an insane world. Or maybe our type of insanity is really healthy thinking. Dunno. Keep going - we need you.

Nick, it's a journey, a long and confusing one. And you and I and many other are enigma's.

I believe that having inner peace is a good thing, but the only time I have it is when I'm next door visiting the ever sweet Helen or at the beach or in the woods.

Actually, it was a hoot when Helen and I went to beer church the other night and Ann took her nice boobs out to mess with them for a bit saying "What's the big deal? They're just tits."

That just cracked us up. LOL

Hang in there.

Inner peace is vastly overrated. Better to get drunk, like Angry Ballerina said. Heh.

Probably the most difficult thing to achieve in this world is peace of mind. Or is it piece of mind?
:-)

"Piece of mind" is much easier to achieve... or receive! ;-)

Good morning,

Don't get rid of those voices, they are crucial. Some days they may break you but hey, they are part of who you are, so why would you want to get rid of them?

I have been known to give a piece of my mind one time too many and that usually keeps people away..why should I stop now, when I'm on a roll... wink

Peace of mind is within you.. has nothing to do with anybody else.. ;-)

Hey, it should be a little more about TOI. ;-)

Take care of you, it's important no matter what you may think or anybody else...

Nancy - When my personal life is off-track, I tend to focus on the rest of the world, but when I have "inner-peace", the news is just background noise. XOXOXXXOO

angry - For us older folks, drinking just makes us sleepy. Drinking was fun when I was young, but it takes too long to "recover" from a fun night, now, I'd rather wake up in the morning feeling alive

nancy - It's like some people have a life outside of the blogosphere. I don't know why!

peacechick - Are hearing voices a sign of insanity, or are they the only sanity in a insane world?

bbc - As much as you talk about Helen, you are definitely in love! Now follow thru and get you some poo-say. It is your destiny!
Stay away from women showing their breasts, they use that to hypnotize the weak-minded males, and it looks like it works very well on you.

Mad - The problem with inner peace is that their are so many working on keeping me from achieving it.

hill - I've seen the you dish out pieces of your mind, you do it well. I hope I never receive that kind of "piece of mind"

blueberry - Indeed. You can count on seeing more pieces of my mind. I'm certain the voices will be shouting again, very soon.

Nancy - Like I told blueberry, the voices will return. thanks for the Kissssssss. Right back at you XXX

Nick, of course I love Helen, and I do all I can for her, but it isn't a sexual thing even though she pesters me for it.

Are you aware that she is 85 years old and sex with her would require ropes and pulley's? Maybe a 2X4.

Look, you fool, I can love her and also love another, love is not restricted to one person. And she wants that for me also.

She has met every woman that I have dated since meeting her. Without her approval a woman doesn't get to second base with me.

Just saying. Hugs.

Bullshit, this is the real world, our physical world where we experience each other in physical ways. It's too bad that it's so screwed up though.

It's not spiritual and good sex is spiritual. Just saying.
